Port A South Jetty

The Port A South Jetty is a great spot for fishing enthusiasts, stretching far out into the gulf it gives access to the Gulf of Mexico and the bay hosting a range of fish including redfish, speckled trout, black drum, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel and, in summer, tarpon. Fishing from the jetty is free and accessible to anyone with a fishing license. Not only is it a great place for fishing but the view alone is worth coming out there for! Come during the morning hours when it’s a little less crowded or visit during the sunset for the most breathtaking horizon views. Find plenty of seashells, watch pelicans swoop into the water for fish, and looking out into the water you might even spot some dolphins or sea turtles out in the channel.
